Bread Season is Here!
Santa visited us at our holiday booth!
What a fun time meeting so many of our customers at The Shoppes at the Farm!
December came in with a flourish and things are hopping at the bakery daily. It may be cold out, but the community continues to warm our hearts! Speaking of warming, we’ve finally turned the heat on in the farm stand, so our bread can keep on keeping on through the winter months! I know I’m pleased, as are many of our customers who have wondered what we would do as one by one seasonal venues have closed. We were quite determined to stay open, as I’ve always found that if you had to pick one season where warm bread would really hit the spot, that would have to be winter when we’re all indulging in our simmered stews and soups and holiday dishes.
Our bread days will drop down to just Saturday and Sunday however, to keep our weekends going strong. Daylight hours are just too limited to have people rushing home from work on Friday evenings in the cold and the dark to get bread. The sun is setting at 4:30pm right now! As always, follow along on our Facebook Page to know exactly when the bread gets to the farm stand.
Saturdays will be for our French loaves and baguettes, and Sundays will be for our Italian semolina, New Jersey Crumb Bun, and our infamous soft pretzels. Sourdough all weekend long, folks! Expect the bread drop by noon each Saturday and Sunday.
The window for pre-ordering for Christmas Eve pick up is still open. The time is now to get that ordered. Bread will be baked late morning/noonish for Christmas Eve pick up between 3pm - 5pm. You can preorder RIGHT HERE.
Our last in-public appearance for the year will be on Saturday December 20th from 12pm - 4pm at The Kalmia Club in Lambertville for the intimate and community based Midnight Hour last minute pop-up shopping event. We will have a small space, so we will be curating a selection of our favorites to bring with us. Hope to see you there!
Happy Holidays!
Yours in bread,
Patullo House
