Frenchtown Riverfest
Riverfest
On Sunday August 31st, we had a great time celebrating Riverfest in Frenchtown with a Patullo House Bakery & Mercantile vendor booth in Sunbeam Park! We were also an event sponsor, and were proud to see the crowds enjoying the little town that we so love.
What a fantastic day!
Our family of helpers!
It’s true, I might have stayed up ALL night baking, baking, and baking some more. There’s only one way to get freshly baked bread first thing in the morning, and that is to start baking it EARLIER in the morning! There was so much baking to get done to fill our farm stand, make our delivery to Cervenka Farms, AND be ready for Riverfest. Whew!
Our booth sold out of bread by 3pm, proving for a fact that Frenchtown does indeed, like freshly baked bread (our pretzels sold out in less than an hour!).
We met so many of our regular customers, and loved being able to put names and faces together. Thank you to everyone for coming by to say hello and introduce yourselves!
And the day turned into a combination Riverfest celebration and Family Day out. Our enthusiasm and energy was high until the very end!
Family Day at Riverfest!
Labor day dawned beautiful, and after a full twelve hours of catch up sleep, we spent the day on the farm by our pond with a camp fire, coffee, and take out breakfast sandwiches. Bliss!
Quarter Mile Farm is the official home of Patullo House, and the farm grows at the same time as the bakery. Soon we will have our horses home, our young chickens are starting to lay eggs with more regularity, and the gardens are coming along slowly. Bakery and Farm are both growing! Blessed are we. :)
Cheers,
~ Sonya
